Last weekend, Count and I went on a getaway to Victoria to visit the Geelong wineries and embark on the world famous Great Ocean Road.
We stayed in a cute little B&B where we rented bikes to ride to the wineries. Basking in 29 degrees heat, we rode up and down the rolling hills, past some farms, quiet little residential area – and vibrant rapeseed field that transformed me back to when we traveled to Epernay, France last April.
Ever since then, I frequently thought about its striking nature’s palette and how I wish to capture it. However I never did; until I saw them again with my own eyes.
Contrasting against the clear blue sky, the sunny coloured rapeseed field was breathtaking.
And finally tonight, after nearly half a year later I painted the golden field.
I guess it’s never too late to start something!
Hope you enjoy the painting.
Cheers to letting go,
